This is a fantastic opportunity to join as a Business Design Analyst, providing the analysis, artefacts and structured insight that underpin effective business design decisions.
Working across transformation programmes and directorates, you’ll analyse current services, uncover pain points and risks, and translate operational insight into clear requirements and design artefacts that improve delivery confidence and support better outcomes for colleagues and residents.
What you’ll be doing
1. Conduct current-state analysis through process mapping, journey mapping and capability assessment
2. Gather and synthesise operational data, stakeholder insight and existing documentation
3. Support future-state service, process and operating model design aligned to Target Operating Model
4. Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria
5. Facilitate discovery and design workshops with subject matter experts and stakeholders
6. Review solution designs and specifications to ensure alignment to business intent
What you’ll bring
7. Proven experience in business analysis, service design or design support
8. Strong capability in process mapping, requirements elicitation and analytical outputs
9. Ability to convert complex operational information into clear, usable artefacts
10. Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills
11. Experience supporting business change, transformation or service improvement initiatives
Desirable
12. Experience in housing, care, health, local government or similarly regulated sectors
13. Understanding of service design or enterprise architecture concepts
14. Familiarity with tools such as Visio, Miro, Lucid or Azure DevOps
15. Professional qualifications such as BCS, IIBA, Lean Six Sigma or service design
