Technical Service Manager - Heating Solutions

About the role

Our client, a global home appliance manufacturer based in Weybridge, is seeking a Technical Service Manager. Part of the Air Solutions team, you will help develop and grow the UK business by managing the technical support team, ensuring high service levels, improving customer service, and promoting the company brand.

Responsibilities

* Manage the field service team to deliver system commissioning, customer support, and implement corrective/preventative actions.
* Oversee spares availability supporting distribution and direct customer channels.
* Ensure the availability of top-quality technical documentation for customers and colleagues.
* Support the training academy, ensuring materials are current and resources are efficiently utilized.
* Achieve KPIs as set by the General Manager.
* Provide detailed reports on technical support and service activities.
* Coordinate with other departments on payment disputes, new product introductions, and inventory management.

Qualifications & Skills

* Relevant experience, preferably from a reputable manufacturer; engineering or technical qualifications are desirable.
* Effective leadership and management skills.
* Strong technical and product knowledge, including product development and business planning.
* Understanding of relevant legislation.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Experience with performance management, KPIs, and SLAs.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
* Constructive challenger and problem solver.
* Resilient, detail-oriented, and capable of driving issues to resolution.
* Good judgment and decision-making skills.
* Commercial acumen with a track record of achieving objectives.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
