About the role
We are pleased to share an opportunity for someone to join our team as the Head of Landlord Compliance. This is a permanent role, working 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday) with Agile Working. The successful candidate can be based in any Flagship Housing office, whichever is closest to their home address. We have offices in the following locations: Norwich, Melton/Woodbridge, East Dereham & Bury St. Edmunds.
As the Head of Landlord Compliance, you will be responsible for all Landlord Health and Safety (H&S) matters, ensuring that our homes and communal areas remain safe for tenants, contractors and the public by fully complying with all legislation surrounding Landlord H&S, including duties under the Building Safety Act. You will manage the overall performance of your team to deliver outstanding customer service, carefully manage expenditures and relentlessly improve performance across all aspects of operations. Liaising with safety enforcement agencies and fire authorities to ensure compliance and best practices will also be part of your remit.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee component servicing and monitoring, ensuring compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM); use performance metrics to improve operations. • Advise the Board and maintain high customer service standards, keeping abreast of regulatory changes. • Deliver clear, data‑driven board reports that support decision‑making. • Promote a culture of growth and high performance within your department. • Wisely manage expenditures and lead continuous improvement initiatives. • Engage with safety enforcement agencies and fire authorities to secure best practice compliance.
Qualifications
* Graduate degree or equivalent, and (or) a recognized asset‑management or landlord compliance qualification.
* Extensive experience delivering high‑quality landlord compliance services, with a deep understanding of the affordable housing sector.
* Knowledge of the Housing Health & Safety Rating System and related landlord compliance regulations.
* Strategic thinking and the ability to craft detailed board reports with clear data and analysis.
* Full, valid UK driving licence.
