M&E Project Engineer Waltham Cross, England, United Kingdom Responsible for supporting and enhancing the delivery of projects from a technical perspective. This role reports to a Project Manager or Contracts Manager and involves both office-based and site-based duties depending on project requirements. Duties and Responsibilities Develop a full understanding of project details, designs, and specifications. Compile and manage technical submittals as directed by the Project or Contracts Manager. Collaborate with project teams, including Contracts, Project Management, Design, and Quantity Surveying, to support progress reporting. Ensure all project-related email communication includes the correct job reference. Raise Requests for Information (RFIs) and maintain the RFI schedule. Follow up on orders for long-lead equipment and materials. Ensure the latest drawing revisions are being used on site. Redline drawings with as-built information and issue updates to the design team. Monitor and report on subcontractor compliance. Attend site meetings as required. Support the Quantity Surveyor with variations, change documentation, and procurement activities. Manage relevant external project correspondence. Ensure compliance with all applicable building regulations, industry standards, and health & safety requirements. Adhere to all company EHSQ policies and procedures. Assist in compiling Operation & Maintenance Manuals, commissioning documentation, and handover materials. Maintain accurate records within the document management system. Undertake additional tasks as required to support the project. Qualifications Degree-level qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline, or a relevant trade background. Strong understanding of tendering processes. Proficient in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to learn, adapt, and support multiple aspects of project delivery.
