About this role:
St James’ is looking to appoint an enthusiastic, highly motivated and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our committed, supportive and friendly kitchen team.
The post involves a flexible working pattern. The need to work flexibly to the needs of the school is essential.
Working within a small but dedicated team, under the direction of the Catering Manager, the Catering Assistant will be responsible for supporting the preparing and producing of a varied lunchtime menu for the children of the schools.
We are looking for someone with:
* Experience of working within a catering environment together with a high standard of food presentation
* Good customer care skills
* A good knowledge of basic cooking methods and basic recipes
* A current Basic Hygiene certificate (or willingness to work towards)
