Sous Chef
Part of our Galley team on our River vessels, the Sous Chef ensures outstanding food quality, supports budget goals, creates guest-oriented culture to increase revenue and profitability in Viking Cruises. The Sous Chef reports to Executive Chef.
What You Will Do On Board
* Prepare and distribute daily meals for guests and crew
* Ensure compliance with food safety and cleanliness standards
* Assist with ordering food supplies within budget
* Supervise, train, and motivate galley team
* Conduct stock takes and inventory management
* Support the Executive Chef in departmental meetings and onboard training programs

About You
* Culinary school graduation required, hospitality degree preferred
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in upscale cruise or hotel industry, 1 year in a similar position
* Fluent in English with excellent oral communication skills
* Maintains confidentiality and impeccable hygiene standards
* Flexible, team player, guest-focused with a positive and professional demeanor
