Three Bridges Recruitment is currently working with a highly respected Edinburgh-based organisation in the technology sector to appoint a Senior Buyer on a fixed-term basis, initially for 9 months.

Job


As part of a small and established procurement function, you will play a pivotal role in supplier management and procurement delivery.


Key duties will include:


* Designing and rolling out procurement policies, category plans, and supplier agreements
* Running competitive tendering exercises across diverse spend areas such as IT, Energy, Facilities, Marketing, HR, Office supplies, PPE and more
* Driving commercial value through cost efficiencies, risk reduction, and improved supplier performance
* Developing supplier partnerships that move beyond transactional relationships
* Keeping up to date with supply markets and best practice to inform business decisions
* Partnering with colleagues across the organisation to ensure procurement aligns with business needs
* Guiding and supporting two Procurement Assistants within the team
* Playing an active role in promoting positive change within the procurement function


You


The successful candidate will bring both procurement expertise and strong interpersonal skills.


You will be:


* Experienced in a Buyer/Senior Buyer role, with a proven track record in supplier negotiations
* Commercially aware with a strong grasp of cost management and value delivery
* Accurate, organised, and able to manage competing priorities effectively
* A confident communicator who can influence technical and non-technical colleagues alike
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Energetic, solution-oriented, and able to perform well under pressure
* Exposure to technology, infrastructure, or telecommunications sectors would be useful, though not essential
