Job Description:
Subject to the successful closing of the transaction with Spirit, after obtaining relevant regulatory approvals.
Job Summary:
The main requirement of this role is to lead the development and construction activities of the new Airbus site in Belfast.. This will include coordinating between various stakeholders and internal Airbus personnel, including project managers, site managers, architects, engineers and contractors to ensure successful and safe delivery of projects within budget, schedule, and quality standards. You will be managing a building and construction team.
Job Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to project plans, schedules, and budgets.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including designers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
* Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, specifications, and progress reports.
* Monitor project expenses and revenues, preparing regular financial reports to track project Capex adherence
* Ensure compliance with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards throughout the construction process.
* Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
* Coordinate project closeout activities, including final inspections, snagging and warranty claims and handover to our internal service teams.
Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
* Proven experience in construction management, preferably in an industrial or aviation setting.
* Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety protocols.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to effectively communicate with diverse audiences, both verbally and in writing.
* Proficiency in Google Suite and construction management tools.
* Experience with project management methodologies (e.g., PMP).
* Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed for project visits.
