Spencer Clarke Group are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join a supportive school in Cramlington, Northumberland. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who have Special Educational Needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.This role is Monday-Thursday 8:30-4:30 and Friday 8:30-4:00.Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Work closely with the class teacher to deliver differentiated learning activities
* Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups
* Assist in implementing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teaching staff
* Support with social, emotional, and behavioural development
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A DBS on the update service or the willingness to obtain one
* Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* The ability to adapt to the individual needs of pupils
* A genuine passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.Spencer Clarke Group work with a variety of schools covering a wide geographical area. We deal with teaching placements at Primary, Secondary, Special Education needs and college level as well as support staff positions also within these.
