Project Quality Manager - UK's Largest Power Upgrade Works

Be part of the UK's most ambitious power infrastructure upgrade. We're seeking a Project Quality Manager with an electrical background to lead assurance, compliance, and continuous improvement across high-profile energy projects. You'll shape quality culture and performance, ensuring delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
Your Role
As a senior member of the project team, you will:
* Implement and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) to meet project, regulatory, and client standards.
* Champion a proactive "Get it Right" culture; identify and act on quality risks, issues, and opportunities.
* Deliver engaging quality training, inductions, and toolbox talks to improve site productivity and prevent errors.
* Guide the development and review of Quality Plans, ITPs, Method Statements, and supplier documentation.
* Monitor and manage Non-Conformances (NCs), supporting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Lead Category 1 NCR investigations and Quality Incident Event Process (QIEP).
* Ensure effective digital quality records, lifetime traceability (LTQRs), and progressive handover.
* Support requirement management across the lifecycle, ensuring compliance and clarity.
* Collaborate with clients, auditors, and teams, providing transparent performance reporting and KPI tracking.
* Conduct internal audits, support ISO certifications (ISO 9001 / BS 99001), and drive sector-wide improvements.
What You'll Bring
* ~10 years' experience in Quality leadership within regulated, high-assurance sectors (Power, Nuclear, Rail, etc.).
* Strong knowledge of electrical systems: substations, GIS, SGTs, overhead lines, and cabling.
* Expertise in ISO 9001 and related standards (e.g., ISO 10005), with a strong risk and opportunity mindset.
* Confident communicator with proven ability to influence across all levels-clients, contractors, and leadership.
* Skilled in team management, audit processes, and digital construction tools (e.g., Fieldview, Asite, Trimble).
* Ability to prioritise and deliver in complex, deadline-driven environments.
Desirable Qualifications
* ISO 9001:2015 Internal or Lead Auditor (or working towards).
* Chartered CQI member (or other recognised engineering/quality body).
