Duties
Job Description As a site supervisor apprentice, you will reduce risks to health and safety in the workplace. You will promote and maintain an effective service and contribute to the efficiency and effectiveness of the building and facilities, while developing positive relationships with customers.
Duties of the Role:To work under the guidance/direction of appropriate senior staff:
Provide maintenance and security services on school sites and buildings, ensuring a safe working environment.
Ensure that the school and grounds are in good condition in terms of repairs and appearance.
Ensure that the school's safety, health, and cleanliness are maintained.
Ensure that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed at all times.
Participate fully in all aspects of school life, maintaining good relationships with children, staff, parents, and visitors.
Report any breaches of safety to the relevant authorities.
Monitor CCTV equipment or supervise as appropriate.
Additional information
Health and Safety Being responsible for the safety and protection of the school, acting as a key holder and arranging access in emergencies. Participate in Fire Drills alongside the School Business Manager, and maintain a record of all fire and safety drills. Carry out regular checks of playground and physical education equipment, arranging repairs when necessary. Take appropriate steps to identify, assess, reduce, and manage any risks to health, safety, and protection in the working environment. Conduct relevant risk assessments as required by the school and the county. Monitor and supervise electrical testing on portable equipment, and maintain proper records. Ensure satisfactory levels of building maintenance, cleanliness, and hygiene are achieved and maintained across all school buildings.

Any previous experience with handicrafts or DIY.
Good communication skills with children and adults.
Competence in numeracy, literacy, and ICT.
Ability to manage and organize your own time.

A level of maturity appropriate for working in a school environment.
Ambitious and willing to work hard.
Desire to be a positive role model for young people.
The Apprenticeship includes on-the-job learning along with off-the-job training leading to nationally recognized qualifications
