Job Details
To undertake Handyperson / Driver duties as deemed appropriate and to carryout safety and equipment checks and general maintenance.
Undertake vehicle checks ensuring all Health and Safety legal requirements are met.
Carry out building and equipment inspections checks and complete compliance checks as instructions and ensure the accurate recording of building checks,. Asbestos register, hardwire electrical, electrical PAT testing, water checks and fire safety checks, periodically checking the lighting system within the properties.
Operating in a handyperson capacity providing services including portage, completing compliance checks, minor repairs and maintenance to buildings, fixtures, furnishing and general maintenance of internal and external areas as required.
Driving within Fife wide area. For example, to undertake property audits, minor repairs and distribute supplies to the properties. Ensuring that prescribed checks are undertaken on Council vehicles and ensuring that the interior and exterior of the cars are maintained to a high standard at all times.
1. A vehicle will be supplies, clean driving licence is a must
2. Working 36 hours per week on a Permanent, full- time basis
3. Uniform will be supplied
4. Salary Range: £24,740.74 to £25,885.80. per year (annual increments 1st 3 years)
5. Auto enrolment onto the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS)
6. With 32 annual leave days rising to 37 days after 5 years.

The Person

The person must have a clean driving licence and the ability to undertake MiDAS training.
The person should have experience of working as part of a team as well as lone working and have good communication skills.
The person must have a basic knowledge in the use of computers
The person must have experience and knowledge of basic DIY skills
Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
