About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support students both in and out of the classroom, helping them to access learning and stay engaged in lessons. You will work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to provide tailored support to pupils who may need additional help.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in education and gain experience working in a secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting students across a range of subjects in KS3 and KS4
* Providing targeted one-to-one and small group support
* Assisting students with SEND and additional learning needs
* Supporting classroom behaviour and engagement
* Helping prepare resources and learning materials
* Encouraging positive attitudes towards learning and school life
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is supportive, adaptable, and committed to helping young people succeed.
You may be suitable if you have:
* Experience working with children or young people in any capacity
* A positive and patient approach to supporting learning and behaviour
* Good communication and interpersonal skills
* An interest in education, psychology, or youth support work
* A degree or relevant qualification (desirable but not essential)
