A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced leader to join a dynamic team and drive innovation as an FPGA Lead Designer. This role leads a team of FPGA designers, guiding them through all phases of the FPGA design lifecycle while ensuring the delivery of complex and cutting-edge FPGA platforms. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor the FPGA Design team, driving collaboration and ensuring successful project delivery • Design and implement complex FPGA architectures targeting Xilinx, Intel, and Microsemi devices using VHDL, Simulink, and other design tools • Verify FPGA designs using VHDL and System Verilog/UVM methodologies • Generate low-level software (C) to support FPGA test and integration with embedded systems • Oversee the creation of high-quality design documentation • Facilitate the integration of FPGA solutions into wider multi-disciplinary systems The successful candidate will have: • Proven leadership experience in managing FPGA Design teams on complex projects • Extensive experience in generating and verifying FPGA architectures and designs • Proficiency with FPGA toolsets and verification tools (e.g., QuestaSim, ModelSim) • Strong experience with low-level software development for FPGA testing and integration • A degree or equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline This position offers a lucrative benefits package, which includes but is not inclusive of: • Company Bonus: Up to 21% of base salary • Pension: Total contribution of up to 14% (employer and employee) • Flexible working arrangements • Enhanced parental leave (26 weeks for maternity, adoption, and shared parental leave) • Subsidised site facilities and free parking • Excellent career progression and training / career development opportunities If this role looks like your next challenge, please contact Keelan ASAP or apply via this advert!
