GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive school in Sheffield. As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with pupils who face behavioural, emotional, or social challenges, providing tailored support and guidance to help them improve their behaviour and well-being. Responsibilities as a Behaviour Mentor: Work one-to-one and in small groups to support pupils’ behavioural and emotional needs. Develop and implement behaviour management plans in collaboration with teachers and pastoral staff. Mentor pupils to build self-esteem, resilience, and positive social skills. Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as appropriate. Promote a positive and safe learning environment within the school. Requirements for Behaviour Mentor: Experience working with children or young people with behavioural, emotional, or social challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. An enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service or willingness to apply for one. A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment in the last 10 years.
