Your new role
As an Assistant Production Manager, you will support the day-to-day operations within the department. Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will play a key role in driving performance,pliance, and team development. You will be responsible for supporting plant operations, ensuring adherence to health & safety and quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. You will also assist in managing and developing a team of operatives, preparing performance reports, and collaborating with internal departments to deliver site and capital projects.
What you'll need to succeed
To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be educated to degree level, ideally in a science or food technology discipline, and have at least two years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a manufacturing or production environment. Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organisational skills are essential, along with excellentmunication abilities and proficiency in MS Office. Experience in FMCG or pharmaceutical sectors, familiarity with Scada control systems, and knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques would be advantageous.

You’ll receive apetitive salary depending on experience. The role is based on a 40-hour working week, with core hours from 8:00am to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. As the site operates a 24/7 production schedule, candidates should be aware that occasional flexibility may be required to provide management support outside of standard hours.
