Role Overview
As the Private Client Relationship Manager, you will develop and manage an ongoing black book of Ultra High Net Worth Individuals (UHNWI) and represent the Rare Whisky brand, particularly Dalmore. You will hand‑sell exclusive, rare and limited‑edition bottlings, cultivate ongoing relationships, and collaborate with the private client team to enhance sales capabilities.
Responsibilities
* Ensure a planned approach to delivering Private Client targets and work with teammates to cover all touch points.
* Track and plan spend to support commercial planning and A&P budget delivery.
* Create Private Client recruitment strategies across channels and markets with the Rare Whisky Director.
* Lead Exclusive Market Partnership strategies, ensuring distributor buy‑in and correct Private Client behaviours within frameworks.
* Maintain broker strategy to stay “front of mind” in clients’ conversations.
* Coach, review, and delegate work to optimize resource use.
* Act as a Private Client Ambassador, delivering talks and training on W&M rare whisky brands.
* Develop expertise in Scotch Whisky production, regional nuances, W&M and competitor brands.
* Serve as the rare‑whisky sales expert, advising the business on the Private Client world to improve solutions.
* Drive luxury partnership initiatives, working with wider teams to establish suitable relationships and avoid transaction traps.
Qualifications & Skills
* Preferred qualification in a business and/or marketing discipline.
* Significant sales experience in luxury goods, ideally in spirits or champagne.
* Experience building sustainable mutual business with local distributors or third parties.
* Fluency in English; other languages are advantageous.
* Large network of contacts within the financial sector.
* Demonstrable knowledge of the UHNWI lifestyle and how to engage them.
* Well‑versed in fine wine, champagne, and high‑end spirits.
* Understanding of investment funds and the financial world.
* Working knowledge of the private client environment with experience that challenges and improves offerings.
