Working as a Manufacturing Production Manager you will be responsible for overseeing the daily manufacturing operations within the timber joinery workshop. As a Manufacturing Production Manager you will work closely with the planning, design and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget, while driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production process. DUTIES Your duties as Manufacturing Production Manager will include: Production Management & Planning Oversee and coordinate all workshop production activities, ensuring efficient workflow and resource allocation Develop and maintain production schedules to meet project deadlines and customer delivery commitments Manage customer expectations and relationships through scheduling to delivery ensuring transparency and clarity of progress to establish trust throughout the journey of their project Assisting and dealing with customer concerns and issues and addressing in a respectful manner so that relationships are bolstered for future business Monitor progress against production plans, adjusting schedules and resources as necessary Ensure all products meet exacting quality standards and client specifications before dispatch Quality & Output Targets Manage output and quality targets for the production team, regularly reviewing performance and identifying areas for improvement Work with the design and technical teams to resolve production issues and maintain product integrity Health & Safety Management Responsibility for health and safety within the workshop and production areas Ensure all activities comply with statutory regulations and company policies Conduct regular risk assessments, safety inspections, and staff training sessions Maintain up-to-date documentation and incident reporting in line with HSE guidelines Team Leadership & Development Lead, motivate, and develop the workshop team, fostering a culture of pride, accountability, and continuous improvement Carry out staff appraisals, identifying training needs and supporting skills development Promote a collaborative and respectful working environment Continuous Improvement Identify and implement initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness Manage workshop resources, including machinery, tools, and materials, ensuring optimal utilisation and maintenance CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS Proven experience as a Production Manager or Supervisor within a bespoke timber joinery or specialist manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of machining, assembly processes, finishing, and installation requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills Competent in production planning, workflow management, and resource allocation Sound understanding of health and safety legislation and workshop best practices Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and production schedules A proactive, hands-on manager with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities BENEFITS Competitive salary Company pension scheme Opportunities for professional development and training Supportive and dynamic working environment HOW TO APPLY To be considered for this job vacancy, please submit your CV to our Recruitment Team who will review your details.
