Position: Warehouse Operative (Order Distributor)
Location: HM Prison Leicester (LE2 7AJ)
Contract Type: Permanent (Part-Time)
Shift pattern: 5 hours per week - Friday, 12:30 to 17:30
Salary: £3492.06 per year
Note: The role is based within a Prison. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced Security Vetting Process.
About the Role
HMPPS provides prisoners with the means to order goods using their own funds. At DHL, our role is to manage the picking, packing, and distribution of these orders. You will play an integral role in the prisoner's lives, working with a diverse team to support their rehabilitation.
Responsibilities
1. Distribute orders on the prison wing accurately and timely to each inmate
2. Load and unload vehicles upon receiving orders
3. Ensure compliance with prison rules and regulations
Candidate Requirements
* Ability to work in a prison environment alongside inmates
* Ability to perform manual handling and heavy lifting
* Good communication skills at all levels
* Current 3-year UK address history (mandatory for Enhanced Security Clearance)
