As a teacher in Fife, you will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom, promoting inclusion, diversity, and equality, communicating with stakeholders, and contributing to wider improvements across the school community.
Qualifications, Registration, and Skills Requirements
1. You must have high levels of interpersonal skills to work effectively as part of a team and ensure positive outcomes for children and young people.
2. You should demonstrate a commitment to your professional development through ongoing learning activities and show how this has improved your practice.
3. Before appointment, you will need to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland and join the relevant PVG scheme.
4. You must be fully registered with the General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) and adhere to the Professional Standards expected of teachers in Scotland.
5. For positions in denominational schools, appointment approval regarding religious belief and character is required from representatives of the relevant church or denominational body, as per Scottish legislation. Please visit the SCES website for further details.
