Hourly Rate: £12.86
Hours Per Week: Up to 5 nights available, 12 hour waking nights, 9pm – 9am

This role is to support a young girl living with her parents in their family home, in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham. Current care is provided by her parents and employed PAs. Bank Personal assistant/Carer is required to allow some family respite time. The client, born with Exomphalos Major and a congenital heart disorder, is ventilator-dependent via Tracheostomy throughout the night. She also has a NG Tube in situ and is fully mobile. The Personal Assistant will need to be patient and understanding of her needs, willing to be very interactive as she enjoys getting to know people and must feel comfortable around them. The role focuses on supporting her night-time regime, including personal care, maintaining good oxygen saturations, and supporting her emotional well-being. A calming approach is essential.
Responsibilities
* Provide 12-hour night-time care from 9pm to 9am, ensuring 1:1 support.
* Assist with personal care and monitor oxygen saturation levels.
* Support the client’s emotional well-being and provide engaging interactions.
* Assist with any required oxygen therapy-related tasks and basic care routines as trained.
* Be flexible to cover shifts as needed, including annual leave and sickness cover.
About You / Qualifications
* Candidate should live locally to the family, be flexible, and comfortable around dogs (the family owns dogs).
* Genuine caring nature, calm presence, enthusiasm, patience, and professionalism.
* Ability to demonstrate integrity and respect for the family and their home.
* Female candidates only; experience with oxygen therapy, oral suctioning, or enteral feeding is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* Post includes 12-hour night shifts for 1:1 care; shifts are 9pm – 9am and cover various nights during the week. Set days may be allocated, with some flexibility required for changes, including cover for annual leave and sickness.
