IT Service Lifecycle Manager/IT Service Manager - Permanent - Birmingham (Hybrid)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Service Lifecycle Manager/IT Service Manager to join our Birmingham based client on a permanent basis.
Responsibilities and Duties
* Lead the service lifecycle to ensure IT services are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with business needs.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and design services that support both operational and strategic goals.
* Manage and maintain the service portfolio, ensuring accurate, up-to-date information and alignment with organisational priorities.
* Oversee the release management process, ensuring smooth, timely, and well-communicated software and service deployments.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure releases are tested, validated, and delivered with minimal disruption.
* Manage change processes to ensure all updates to systems, services, and infrastructure are controlled, assessed, and implemented effectively.
* Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings and guide change prioritisation and approvals.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
* ITIL Foundation v4 certification (preferred); advanced ITIL certifications desirable.
* Strong background in IT Service Management, including service design, portfolio, release, and change management.
* Solid experience delivering end-to-end service lifecycle management.
* Expertise in Change and Release Management, including stakeholder communication, risk control, and post-implementation review.
* Understanding of industry compliance, governance, and regulatory standards.
* Proficiency in ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy or similar).
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to influence and manage expectations across teams and vendors.
