A successful and innovative 11–18 academy in Basingstoke, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, is looking to appoint an inspirational Food Technology Teacher to join their dynamic Technology Faculty from January 2026.
About the Role
The appointed teacher will deliver Food Preparation and Nutrition across KS3–KS5, promoting creativity, nutritional awareness, and healthy living. Lessons will combine theoretical study with practical application, enabling students to develop essential life skills and a scientific understanding of food.
Students are encouraged to explore global cuisine, sustainability, and dietary ethics, connecting food education to real-world issues. The role offers opportunities to lead extracurricular cooking clubs, masterclasses, and house competitions, as well as to collaborate on STEM and wellbeing projects across the school.
The successful candidate will play an active role in shaping the future of the department, contributing to curriculum design, assessment strategies, and enrichment initiatives.

Experience and Qualifications
* QTS/PGCE in Food Technology or a related field.
* Strong subject knowledge of nutrition, food science, and sustainability.
* Excellent organisational skills and commitment to inclusive teaching.
* Experience teaching Food Technology at GCSE and/or A-Level desirable.
