Your role with us
This role will business partner the Inpatients divisions of our Charity supporting key stakeholder in managing their finances. As a true Business Partner, you will build strong relationships with your stakeholders across our clinical divisions, gaining an in-depth knowledge of the drivers and challenges that they face to inform the analysis of the results. As we expand our services beyond our current commercial footprint, you will also provide financial support to strategic initiatives and business cases in support of the Charitys strategy.
Your key responsibilities:
To work in partnership with budget holders to review, monitor and challenge monthly financial performance;
To be responsible for the preparation and analysis of divisional financial reports, to provide timely and accurate information;
Undertake monthly reviews with budget holders to provide constructive and where appropriate challenging feedback;
To support stakeholders with the annual budget and forecasting processes highlighting risks and opportunities to the FD;
To lead on the financial support for any projects undertaken or operational development plans by your stakeholders, including review of the business case, system set up, monitoring and reporting of spend against budget, and input into the post implementation review papers;
To communicate at all levels within the Charity, with the capability to present financial information to non-finance colleagues and teams;
Closely monitor adherence to accounting policies and procedures which impact across the Charity and provides feedback/proposals for amendments to those policies;
To prepare the monthly internal management reports and analysis for the FD and Executive Board working within strict deadlines;
To prepare the monthly covenant reporting and quarterly external NHSE reporting;
Deputise for other Finance Business Partners as required.
Your profile:
Formal accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant post qualified experience in a Finance BP or similar role
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
Must have strong analytical, strategic, problem solving and organisational skills and strong attention to detail
Broad business acumen and sound business judgement
