Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester for an Automotive Service Centre
1. Location: Swadlincote
2. Hours: 5-day working week, 42.5 hours per week
3. Salary: £32,000 basic + Bonus (OTE £34,000)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join a busy and growing automotive service centre in Swadlincote. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional workshop environment that values quality workmanship, customer service, and employee development.
The successful individual will carry out MOT testing alongside servicing, repairs, and general mechanical work, working as part of a supportive and experienced team.

Key Responsibilities as the Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester will include:
11. Carry out MOT testing in line with DVSA regulations
12. Perform servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
13. Work on brakes, clutches, cambelts, exhausts, and tyres
14. Use alignment equipment and carry out wheel alignment work where required
15. Complete vehicle health checks and inspection reports accurately
16. Identify additional repair requirements and communicate findings clearly
17. Maintain a safe, clean, and organised workshop environment
About You:
18. Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and/or a valid MOT Tester licence
19. Previous experience within a professional workshop environment
20. Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
21. Experience carrying out servicing and repair work efficiently
22. Customer-focused with good communication skills
23. Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
24. Full UK driving licence required
