Age Cymru is the national charity for older people in Wales. Age Cymru West Glamorgan is the local partner who provide vital services to older people in the area.

Information and Advice Service Manager

Salary: £33,000 – £38,000 FTE (pro rata; dependent on experience).

Hours: 18 - 35 a week (Monday to Friday)

Location: Based at Age Cymru West Glamorgan, 250 Carmarthen Road, Swansea, SA1 1HG, with travel throughout the community.

Contract Type: Permanent

Hybrid Working: Supported as standard (minimum 2 days in the office each week; more during probation to support induction and learning the organisation).

Age Cymru West Glamorgan are recruiting an Information and Advice Service Manager, to lead their AQS-accredited flagship service.

Last year, their Information and Advice team helped older people and carers secure over £1 million in unclaimed welfare benefits and delivered support across phones, face-to-face, community and home visits.

They are now looking for an experienced leader to take this growing service to the next level, with full management of the service (not just the team).

In this role you will

1. Lead and develop the advice service to the highest standards
2. Support and mentor staff & volunteers
3. Act as safeguarding lead
4. Build strong relationships with funders and partners
5. Occasionally handle complex cases to support quality and continuity

Your leadership will help maintain AQS and drive continuous improvement so more people can age well and enjoy life. You will be helping to shape the future of advice services for older people across Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend.
