Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor role based in Exeter. The Quantity Surveyor will oversee cost management throughout each phase of construction projects, preparing bills of quantities (BOQ), monitoring expenses, and ensuring financial efficiency. Key responsibilities include cost planning, cost control, and preparing detailed cost reports. The role also involves collaborating with the project team to manage budgets, evaluating contractor claims, and ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality or timelines.
Qualifications
* Strong skills in Cost Control and Cost Management to ensure projects are completed within budget.
* Experience in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ) effectively.
* Competency in Cost Planning and preparing accurate, detailed Cost Reporting documents.
* Proficiency with construction-related software and digital tools is preferred.
* Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is required.
* Professional certification such as MRICS or CIQS is advantageous.
* Proven experience in cost planning and management within the construction industry is essential.
