THE PEOPLE PARTNER RESPONSIBILITES INCLUDE:
1. Provide a pro-active business partnering service to the agreed business area ensuring you are driving people initiatives and monitoring effectiveness of delivery.
2. To provide professional support and advice to Business Heads and all SSP managers on all employee relations activity including: Absence Management; Performance Improvement Plans; Maternity matters; Day to Day policy issues; Leaver Management; Pay review; People policies; Training; HR Interviews; Performance management Peer review facilitation; Employment Law and Organisational Design
3. To keep Senior People Partner updated of operational issues and escalate where necessary through regular 1-1 meetings and calls.
4. To consult and provide guidance to Business Heads and managers in relation to transfers, promotions and salary reviews, to ensure that all associated processes are followed through to completion.
5. To identify key issues/trends/changes both internally as well as externally (current legislation, marketplace and industry) in respect of potential policy changes, the adoption of best practice and employee benefits.
6. To carry out exit interviews, identify trends and recommend solutions to improve statistics as required.
7. Drive people plan meetings with Business Head and proactively monitor employee data to identify trends and recommend solutions.
8. Assist in the delivery of employee engagement results, ensuring managers are aware of results and ensuring effective action plans are developed and delivered to improve SSP as a great place to work
9. Work with the Talent Development Partner to identify and deliver effective development solutions.
10. To support the central People team in the delivery of specific projects as requested.
11. To have knowledge of functional strategy and business performance; understand all ‘People Plans;’ and implications for People service provision.
12. To ensure ‘People Plans’ are implemented successfully; that they are kept up to date and under review including liaising with Business Heads and managers to ensure they address identified issues.
13. Responsibility for keeping people policies legally compliant at all times
14. Drive the culture of high performance by ensuring effective data is produced, to help assess the capability of our managers, with effective objectives that will deliver our business plan
15. Coaching and supporting Business Heads and managers to deliver high performance
16. Drive an engagement plan to ensure Business Heads and managers are aware of people policies and processes and feel equipped to deliver these within their teams.
17. Ensure the Skills and Knowledge Framework is embedded in business areas and that new activity is within pay and benefits framework.
18. Deliver organisational design activity as required, ensuring transparent and consistent processes are adopted to maximise the care shown to employees.
19. Support the culture of being a diverse and inclusive employer within all the activity delivered.
20. Facilitate training on relevant topics/themes for Business Heads and managers
21. Drive and Deliver content in-line with HR strategy to Business Heads and managers
22. Plan and deliver People projects in line with ‘People Plan’ strategy
ACCOUNTABILITY:
23. Ensure positive relationship with Business Heads and managers through regular 1-1’s
24. Influence Business Heads to drive a performance driven culture
25. Ensure action items from People Plan are implemented
26. Ensure compliance with HR practise/law for the region of focus including overseas (as appropriate)
27. Ensure the central People Projects are well executed within the business
28. Identifying opportunities and recommending solutions to improve the employee journey
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
29. Previous work experience in a commercially focused People Partner/HRBP role
30. Experience of leading employee relations activity to conclusion
31. Experience of contributing to HR activities including Driving Performance, Employee Engagement and Organisational Design
32. Strong communication skills – able to coach managers
33. Desired HR qualification as relevant in the region
34. Ability to work in both structured and ambiguous situations
35. Good excel and analytical skills
