The Role
As part of the manufacturing engineering team, you will play a key role in supporting product performance, process optimisation, and continuous improvement across electronic manufacturing operations.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting product performance and manufacturing processes
* Producing reports, analysis, and technical documentation
* Providing technical support to customers and internal teams
* Driving innovation and supporting engineering improvement activities
* Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
* Supporting manufacturing cells and wider engineering functions
* Participating in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), New Product Introduction (NPI), and manufacturing process activities
* Supporting process development, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Experience
* Minimum HND or Degree in a relevant discipline such as STEM, Production Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering
* Proven experience in a mid-to-senior manufacturing role, ideally within electronics manufacturing
* Experience working with electronic products down to component level
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, process improvement, and efficiency optimisation
* Experience with Process FMEA, Control Plans, process flow development, and risk mitigation methodologies
* Knowledge of a range of manufacturing platforms and processes
* Strong technical communication and presentation skills
* Previous experience within engineering, manufacturing, aerospace, or defence environments would be advantageous
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of manufacturing methodologies such as Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
* Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities
