Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistant – Swindon
Start Date: September 2025
Salary: Up to £600 per week | Full-time
Are you graduating in 2025 with a 2:1 or higher from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university?
Are you passionate about education and looking to gain valuable classroom experience before pursuing a teaching career?
A dynamic and inclusive secondary school in Swindon, part of a leading Multi Academy Trust, is offering a fantastic opportunity for high-achieving graduates to join as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025.
This is a paid, full-time position designed to give you hands-on experience in the classroom, working alongside experienced educators to support student learning, develop your teaching skills, and explore the inner workings of a successful secondary school.
Subjects We're Especially Keen to Support:
Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)
Mathematics
Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish preferred; some French)
Geography
History

Gaining insight into school life, policies, and best practices
Who We’re Looking For:
Final-year students or recent graduates with a 2:1 or above
Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university
Strong interest in education and working with young people
Reliable, enthusiastic, and willing to take initiative
Passionate about one or more of the listed subject areas
Any prior experience with children (e.g., tutoring, mentoring, coaching) is a bonus – but not essential
