Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the role of Minutes Secretary to the Board of Governors. The Minutes Secretary is responsible for taking minutes at all main Board and Sub-Committee meetings and is directly accountable to the Clerk to the Governing Body.
The ideal candidate will have substantial experience as a minute taker at Board or senior level, excellent written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Duties will include:
* Taking minutes at all Board and Sub-Committee meetings.
* Providing draft minutes for approval by the Chairs of Committees and, once approved, forward to the Clerk to the Governors for distribution.
* Safeguard the confidentiality of the Board by exercising discretion in communicating information.
Hours of work
At least three meetings per term plus an annual Strategic Planning meeting in the autumn term. Currently Sub-Committee meetings take place on Fridays and Board meetings take place on Saturdays. Meetings will be held either on site or remotely.
(The role requires some flexibility to work evenings and weekends to attend and minute meetings.)
