Overview
We are looking for a Client Relationship Manager to manage a portfolio of high-value clients in the energy trading sector in the DACH region. You will be the primary commercial contact, responsible for driving revenue, identifying client needs, and delivering Trayport solutions that help our clients succeed. This is a consultative sales and account management role focused on growing existing relationships and uncovering new opportunities within your portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Manage a portfolio of prospective and active clients within the energy trading sector, serving as their primary commercial contact.
* Drive revenue growth by aligning Trayport’s solutions with client needs and long-term objectives.
* Build trusted, consultative relationships by understanding each client's goals, challenges, and competitive landscape.
* Proactively identify opportunities within existing accounts and generate leads through strategic account development.
* Act as a strong internal advocate for your clients, collaborating with product, technical, and leadership teams to deliver impactful solutions.
* Lead the full sales cycle for new products and clients, including pipeline management, commercial discussions, and contract negotiations.
* Expand engagement within client organisations by increasing product adoption, venues, and trader participation.
* Build and maintain a senior-level network within the client base through meetings, presentations, industry events, and Trayport-hosted engagements.
* Represent the voice of the client in internal strategy discussions, contributing to long-term planning and product development.
Qualifications
* Sales Acumen and strong negotiation skills
* Knowledge of the energy markets and customer base
* Results-driven – you are a doer, driven to financial and strategic success
* Influencer – trusted advisor whose knowledge and judgment are valued by clients and Trayport leadership; knowledge of trading market structures, market dynamics, and the mechanics and operations of trading and clearing
* Robust – you are resilient and persistent in pursuing goals
* Strong technical skills and curiosity about details of solutions for clients
* Strong knowledge of trader, exchange and inter-dealer broker client base; ability to influence and drive Trayport’s strategy and product plans on behalf of your clients
* Strong ability to develop and nurture relationships with C-level / senior managers / decision makers
* German language skills are a nice to have but not essential
