Salary Range:£1,413 - £5,652 per annum, plus additional incident call out payments
Hours per week:Minimum of 31 on-call hours per week

The Role:
An on-call firefighter is a paid person employed by the fire and rescue service who is ‘on call’ to respond to emergencies and engage with their community. They have everyday lives and jobs until their pager sounds, then they become professional firefighters.
They are trained and experienced, saving lives and protecting community assets. They receive thorough training and personal skills development.
On-call firefighters come from all community areas, including full or part-time employment, self-employment, studying, or unemployment. They dedicate their time to assist the fire and rescue service and protect communities.
This demanding role offers the chance to make a real contribution, forming close working relationships with team members and participating in community events.
Responsibilities include fighting fires and involvement in situations like community fire safety, flooding, co-responding, road accidents, chemical spills, and animal rescue.
Previous Experience: No prior experience needed; training provided. Enthusiasm and meeting essential requirements are key. Physical fitness is crucial to reach the fire station quickly after alert.
Note: Applicants must live or work within 5 minutes of the fire station; otherwise, applications will be rejected.
