Solicitor - Disease
Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh (Hybrid)
Experience: NQ - 4 PQE
A leading international law firm is seeking a Junior Associate to join its highly regarded Disease team in Glasgow. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex and high-profile disease litigation within a supportive, collaborative environment.
You will assist in managing a diverse caseload of disease claims, including both pre-litigated and litigated matters.
Key Responsibilities
* Handling a range of disease claims, including noise-induced hearing loss, asbestos-related conditions, upper limb disorders, and stress-related injuries.
* Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and correspondence.
* Liaising with clients, Counsel, and medical experts.
* Providing strategic advice on liability, causation, and quantum.
* Negotiating settlements and attending court hearings where appropriate.
* Ensuring compliance with client SLAs and internal quality standards.

* Experience in personal injury litigation, ideally with exposure to disease claims.
* Strong legal drafting and analytical skills.
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and professional approach to client service.
* Scottish qualified.
