Building Safety Lead £65,000 per annum Maidstone - Hybrid Full Time Permanent Closing Date of vacancy: 23rd December 2025 Review and shortlist applicants between Christmas and New Year period 1st stage interviews will commence the week of - 12th January 2026. We are seeking a proactive Building Safety Lead to own and drive our comprehensive building safety framework, ensuring adherence to all legislation and regulatory requirements while championing a genuinely customer-centric safety culture. This critical role involves taking full ownership of creating, maintaining, and validating Building Safety Cases for all Higher-Risk Buildings (HRBs). This includes meticulously managing the 'golden thread' of information to provide clear and transparent evidence of our safety standards to both customers and the Building Safety Regulator (BSR). Essential intrusive investigations will be directed, and complex remediation projects will be managed end-to-end, proactively addressing any safety concerns and implementing necessary solutions to enhance customer safety and peace of mind. What you'll be doing : Lead the strategic direction, development and implementation of Golding Homes building safety framework, ensuring adherence to the Building Safety Act, Fire Safety regulations and broader H&S legislation. Provide strategic advice on future financial planning, capital expenditure and operational budgets required to meet all building safety obligations and industry wide requirements. Proactively track industry change, policy developments and emerging risks. Source, trail and procure cost effective products and innovative technologies that reduce risk to all building users. Direct and manage a programme of complex, intrusive structural and fire investigations across Golding Homes housing stock. Analyse data to inform and integrate remedial actions into the wider capital works programme, ensuring high quality project completion. ? About you What can you bring to the role?: Chartered membership of a recognised professional body such as IOSH, CIOB, RICS or IFE or working towards Relevant health & Safety qualification such as NEBOSH National General Certificate, or a higher qualification such as the NEBOSH Diploma Proven leadership experience in managing and motivating multi-disciplinary teams, driving high performance, and successfully delivering complex, high-impact projects within strict deadlines and budgets. Substantial, hands-on, relevant industry experience and detailed knowledge of the construction sector or a repairs and maintenance environment, ideally within a high-risk building context A demonstrable track record of creating, implementing, and embedding innovative, organisation-wide Building Safety strategies that have demonstrably enhanced business compliance, safety culture, and operational efficiency. Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills, enabling effective liaison with diverse stakeholders, including senior leadership, residents on critical safety matters, and official regulatory bodies (e.g., HSE, Fire Service).
