A fantastic opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Lead Nurse.

Tissington is a 18-bedded, purpose-built assessment and treatment unit for older people (over 65) experiencing a variety of acute mental health difficulties.

Tissington is a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team. We put the patients first and deliver a high standard of care. Offering en-suite rooms for promotion of dignity, safety and therapeutic spaces.

Tissington encourages therapeutic interventions and delivers care to national recommendations.

Main duties of the job

You will:

* Provide strong clinical leadership, ensuring evidence-based practice is delivered to improve the quality of and shape responsive services.
* Monitoring and ensure maintenance of standards of care that support safe high quality practice throughout the twenty-four hour period.
* Supporting junior colleagues within the multi-disciplinary process.
* Supervising and promoting staff development.Be part of the Bleep Holder rota.
* Always act in a way which reflects both the word and spirit of the Trust's values

Person Specification


Qualifications/Training

* NMC Registered Nurse - RNMH or RNLD
* Educated to Diploma Level (ie Dip HE Nursing) or evidence of post qualification education/training


Leadership Skills

* Demonstrate leadership skills such as motivation, facilitation, mentorship, etc. Demonstrate up-to-date evidence-based
* Experience in managing and leading a team in difficult clinical situations
* Evidence of being able to work independently
* Experience of leading development of staff's progression and development

£37,338 to £44,962 a yearper annum, pro rata
