The job itself
Join our supportive and friendly school services team as a Trust Finance Assistant, providing professional, efficient, and compliant financial services to the Trust and its schools. Build strong working relationships with staff at all levels to support colleagues across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Transactions: Process transactions, including procurement, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet control accounts.
· Purchasing: Support recruitment processes, produce and authorise purchase orders, process supplier invoices, and resolve supplier queries.
· Sales: Generate sales invoices for services, monitor payments, and issue reminders.
· Cash Management: Prepare cash and cheque payments, monitor pupil dinner money accounts, and generate debt reports.
· Accounting and Reconciliations: Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and VAT returns.
· Other Duties: Provide reception duties, comply with Trust policies, and undertake additional duties as required.

Technology: Utilise technology for effective leadership and management. Maintain electronic calendars, notes, and project management systems. Undertake training in Trust platforms and software.
Additional Duties: Support the Trust's operation during periods of reduced capacity or emergency, as requested by the CEO/CFO/COO.
