Operations Assistant
Job Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm
Salary: £25,000 – £27,000
Location: Carlisle
NXT Recruitment are delighted to be supporting a well-established company who are looking for an Operations Assistant to join their head office team. This role is perfect for someone with strong administrative experience who is looking to step into a supervisory position and broaden their exposure to operations.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee day-to-day office operations including supplies, post, phone, and correspondence.
2. Support the recruitment process for employed and self-employed staff
3. Coordinate and support advisors, ensuring they receive timely operational assistance.
4. Monitor and maintain health and safety and fire safety procedures within the office.
5. Provide support with basic HR administration such as tracking holidays and absences.
6. Complete monthly reporting including audits, bonus assessments, and invoicing.
7. Act as the first point of contact for IT providers and manage office facilities.
8. Oversee the daily workload of administrative staff, offering guidance and support.
9. Assist the Head of Operations with ad-hoc projects and operational tasks.
10. Contribute ideas for improving processes and supporting business growth.
Skills:
11. Previous experience in administration or office support
12. Experience supporting or supervising a small team
13. Strong organisational and multitasking skills
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office and confident learning new systems
16. A proactive, problem solving approach with attention to detail
