We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer to join our multi‑disciplinary engineering team to deliver multiple P removal schemes across the Wessex Water region. This role will report to a Project Manager and will support procurement, installation and handover documentation for all electrical and mechanical aspects of project delivery. Candidates should ideally be qualified in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with experience in the water industry considered beneficial.
Role & Responsibilities
* Collaborate with all stakeholders and engage with regular communications
* Attend internal and external meetings
* Collaborate with internal and external design teams, contributing to design and constructability
* Supervise and record survey work
* Develop and manage project procurement schedules
* Aid in the submission of material enquiries and review of quotations
* Place material orders
* Ensure site installation works and quality meet design, client and industry standards
* Produce red‑line drawings
* Produce and manage handover documentation
* Assist with the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Employ a high level of Health and Safety across all site works
Qualifications & Competency
* Degree or HND/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
* ECS/CSCS card
* SSSTS
* First Aid certificate
* Experience in the water industry or related sectors
* Working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environment
* Understanding of Quality Assurance
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office
