A leading technology-focused organisation is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager on a 6-month fixed-term contract (potential to be made permanent for the right candidate) to lead a strategic improvement initiative across their distribution sites. This is a high-impact role where your expertise can drive productivity, accuracy, and operational excellence.
Role Overview
You will assess current warehouse processes, workflows, layouts, and resource allocation, identifying areas for improvement and implementing practical, data-driven solutions. You’ll analyse inventory management practices, streamline operations, introduce KPIs, and support teams in adopting new ways of working. This is a hands-on role that combines operational insight with strong leadership and change management.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate warehouse operations, workflow, and resource use to identify inefficiencies.
Recommend and implement improvements to optimise productivity, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Analyse inventory, ensuring stock rotation and efficient dispatch.
Introduce KPIs, tracking, and reporting tools to monitor performance.
Lead, coach, and support warehouse teams to adopt operational improvements.
Collaborate with supervisors and management to ensure changes are understood and embedded.Essential Skills & Experience
Proven experience in warehouse optimisation, operational improvement, or process re-engineering.
Strong understanding of warehouse functions, material flow, and inventory management.
Experience with warehouse management systems; familiarity with Autotask, ServiceNow, or NetSuite is a plus.
Ability to analyse data, interpret reports, and make actionable recommendations.
Confident communicator capable of challenging current practices constructively.
Highly organised, methodical, and proactive in identifying and resolving operational issues.
Strong leadership skills, capable of influencing, coaching, and driving change.
