My client is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join the Finance Team. This is an exciting new role, created due to the growth of the business, and offers an excellent opportunity to join at a pivotal time.
You will ensure the effective financial management and performance of the company, delivering accurate and timely financial reporting while ensuring all statutory requirements and obligations are met.
Responsibilities include:
1. Producing and implementing an annual financial strategy and budget to ensure growth.
2. Collaborating with the Finance Assistant to ensure the timely and accurate production of statutory financial accounts within agreed timelines.
3. Producing accurate monthly management accounts.
4. Managing monthly payroll processes.
5. Introducing new benefits and bonus schemes.
6. Providing financial reporting through P&L statements, Balance Sheets, and supporting analysis.
7. Ensuring statutory tax compliance, including corporation tax and VAT.
8. Leading, coaching, and developing the existing finance team.
9. Managing cash flow, bank balances, and working capital effectively.
10. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance team.
11. Working with banks to manage lending, funding, and relationships.
In order to be considered, the successful candidate should ideally be a fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with previous experience operating at a management level within a finance team.
