Salary: £15,000 - 15,000 per year Requirements:
* I require candidates to have experience working within an IT services and support environment, ideally in a manufacturing operational setting. Previous experience in an industrial environment supporting or maintaining Information Technology/Systems is preferred but not mandatory; examples include Numerical Control, SCADA, or HMI systems. A solid understanding of Cyber Security practices in an industrial context is essential, including the ability to critically assess the physical and digital security of assets at first level. You should have experience with the installation of security software and system patches, especially within industrial contexts.
* Additionally, familiarity with software and database backup processes, as well as restoring those backups in industrial assets, would be desirable. I also seek an understanding of networking infrastructure and the ability to plan and schedule for maintenance and license management. Effective management of IT documentation is crucial. Experience in leading or participating in IT projects with a basic understanding of project management is important. Candidates should have a good understanding of Microsoft Operating Systems, including legacy systems. Knowledge of the Google Workspace environment is a plus, but not required. Strong communication skills are needed to effectively interact with both IT professionals and end users.
Responsibilities:
* In this role, I'm looking for someone to identify, categorize, diagnose, and resolve IT-related problems at the industrial asset level. You'll be tasked with planning, installing, and configuring software and hardware, while also managing network equipment at the machine level. You'll need to manage accounts and workstations, maintain and secure passwords, file system security, and data integrity.
* I expect you to manage, maintain, update, and upgrade systems, operating systems, and software according to new releases while supporting new projects, data flow evaluations, and budget/time calculations. Part of your responsibility will also include building hardware and software documentation and inventory, being accountable for IT-related data management, and managing hardware and software licensing. You'll need to maintain backup and restore procedures according to company policies and support IT components disposal following the same guidelines. Monitoring systems according to policies and applying relevant security measures—such as antivirus/ security patches and network segregation—is essential.
