You’ll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK’s number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.
To manage the surface treatment operational delivery of our works for Hampshire Highways, ensuring compliance with the Contract and the Company’s Corporate Policies & Strategies.
The candidate will report directly to the Operations Manager, as a member of the Operations Team will be responsible for delivery of all surface treatment works. The candidate will also contribute to the strategic development and growth of this contract.

What will you be doing?
You'll be responsible for the operational delivery of all surface treatments within Hampshire Highways including:
Management of our extensive supply chain and management of the annual plan and contractors programme.
We'll need you to be familiar with, and demonstrate commitment to the requirements of the Health & Safety and Environmental Policies.
You'll establish a proactive health and safety culture in line with ISWM.
We'll ask you to support the ongoing cultural change programme for alignment of delivery to M Group core values and purpose.
You'll be responsible for delivering contract efficiencies for HCC and will represent M Group on joint meetings with Hampshire CC.
Ensuring the work is resourced with sufficient staff competent for the role expected from them.
You'll proactively develop client relationships. Maintain sound communications with clients, depots and supply chain.
Ensuring a regular and robust timetable of internal meetings are implemented with relevant parties for which you are responsible.
You'll ensure that contractors receive or have access to copies of the Environmental Policy and are kept informed of environmental developments and issues.
Along with making sure the Environmental Policy and appropriate parts of Environmental Procedures are effectively managed and communicated to the workforce, particularly to those engaged on activities that have been identified as likely to have a significant environmental impact.
