Project Manager (Fire, Security ) Location: Based – Essex & London Salary: Up to £60,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent The Role We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take full ownership of projects from handover through to completion across the following disciplines: * Fire Alarm Systems * Electronic Security (Intruder, CCTV, Access Control) This role requires a strong leader with excellent client-facing skills and the ability to manage engineers, programmes, and commercial performance while maintaining the highest standards of Health & Safety and quality. You will be responsible for the planning, delivery, commercial control, and successful close-out of allocated projects. Key Responsibilities * Carry out technical evaluations and cost planning for allocated projects. * Lead projects through all phases of delivery, resolving operational and technical issues as they arise. * Manage and support engineers, setting clear expectations and reviewing performance. * Assist with recruitment by identifying resource needs and supporting onboarding. * Control project budgets, track costs, approve variations, and ensure profitability. * Ensure all works comply with industry standards, Health & Safety requirements, and quality procedures. * Act as the primary point of contact for clients, leading meetings and providing progress updates. * Plan engineer workloads and monitor productivity. * Maintain accurate project data within the business management system and provide regular performance reports. * Manage project close-out, including snagging, client handover, and continuous improvement. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Essential * Proven Project Management experience within Fire & Security, Electrical, or Network Infrastructure sectors. * Experience managing and leading teams of engineers. * Strong understanding of technical standards and industry regulations. * Excellent planning, organisational, and communication skills. * Strong commercial awareness with the ability to manage multiple projects at once. * High attention to detail and accuracy. Desirable * Industry-specific accreditations. * Experience using Simpro or similar project management systems.
