An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Spinal Surgery team.
Spinal surgery is a busy, exciting department constantly developing and improving the service provided to patients. We are looking to engage an experienced Medical Secretary with sound secretarial and excellent typing skills to join our friendly team and take on this busy and varied post.
The successful applicant will become an integral part of the efficient Morriston team providing secretarial support to a number of clinical staff.
A sound knowledge of medical terminology and experience in the use of hospital IT systems would be an advantage as well as an understanding of patient pathways. It is preferable that applicants have recent previous experience within a comparable role.

Essential Qualifications & Knowledge
Essential criteria
 1. Educated to vocational level 4 or able to demonstrate the equivalent level of knowledge skills and experiences Or RSA /OCR level 3 or equivalent qualification/experience plus Medical Terminology ECDL or equivalent experience
 2. Knowledge and ability to use Microsoft office applications
 3. Evidence of Continual Personal Development
Desirable criteria
 4. City & Guilds (AMSPAR) Level 3 Diploma in Medical administration
 5. NVQ 3 Customer Service
 6. ILM Level 2
 7. NHS Statutory and Mandatory Training
 8. ESR self-serve(or equivalent experience of application)
 9. Knowledge of Referral To Treatment process (RTT)

 10. Experience of coordinating administration activities.
