About this Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our students on their journey to success. You'll work closely with teachers to deliver engaging lessons, provide tailored support for individual students, and foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment. You may, on occasion, be required to plan work and assess the progress of our children.

There will be opportunities to develop within the school and make a valued contribution to our children's learning.

This is a permanent role starting as soon as possible. This can be 32.5 hours or 19.5 hours (equivalent to 3 days), term-time only. If part time we can offer some flexibility to the hours worked within the school day.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or demonstrates equivalent experience (this links to the attached PDF document).

Support children in reaching their academic and personal goals.

Plan and deliver interventions and learning sessions to small groups of students with SEND.

Collaborate with teachers to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences.

Work independently to provide one-on-one, in class and small group assistance to students needing additional support.

Play an active role in maintaining a positive and inspiring classroom environment.

The Becket School, part of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy Trust, is a highly successful and heavily over-subscribed 11-18 Catholic Voluntary Academy with approximately 1073 students on roll including a 6th Form of over 235.
