This role sits within a highly experienced Tax Advisory team, offering the chance to work on complex compliance and advisory matters for a broad client portfolio, primarily consisting of owner-managed businesses. Responsibilities
* Provide tax advisory services to a wide range of clients including owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs
* Advise on business acquisitions and disposals, group restructures, share schemes, business incorporations, employee ownership trusts, and remuneration planning
* Handle complex compliance clients, supporting Tax Directors and Senior Tax Managers with delivery and client management
* Manage and respond to HMRC enquiries and investigations, including reviewing advice prepared by junior team members
* Act as a technical resource for smaller accounting firms within the firm’s extended network, offering phone and email support
* Mentor, train and support junior team members to help grow their technical capability and confidence
* Collaborate across teams to support firm-wide tax strategy and service delivery
Requirements
* ACA, ACCA, ATT qualified (preferred CTA qualified)
* Exposure to VAT issues is beneficial but not essential
* Confident managing a portfolio of complex cases and providing high-level advisory services
