The Luxury Picnic Company is hiring! We’re looking for an incredible, detail-loving, van-driving, creative-thinking, fast-moving human to join our team this summer as an Events Assistant Manager. BEFORE YOU APPLY – SIX NON-NEGOTIABLES You must : Be happy commuting to and from Watford – this is not a work-from-home gig. Be confident driving a van (ideally Boxer-sized – we’ll train, but you can’t be nervous about it). Be available for evenings, weekends and long hours – our rota changes fast based on events and weather. Have a great memory and strong attention to detail – there’s a lot to remember. Be available to start ASAP – we’re already rolling. Be physically up for it – lifting, packing vans, unpacking vans, setting up picnics in parks this is no desk job. Responsibilities include: Helping plan and style each event (yes, you get creative input!) Packing and prepping stock so everything is event-ready Overseeing event setup and takedown Managing freelance staff on-site with positive vibes and authority Keeping inventory updated and organised Handling logistics, liaising with clients and ensuring events run smoothly Solving problems on the fly (hello, London traffic & rain) Being the kind of person who spots a missing cushion from 30 paces LOGISTICS & BENEFITS Location : Watford (must be able to commute easily) Hours : Vary weekly – includes evenings/weekends (if you are a clock watcher, this job is not for you) Transport : Use of company van on event days Pay : Very competitive Contract : Temporary (June–Sept 2024), with potential to extend into our sister brand ️ Holiday : 28 days pro-rata Team : Fun, ambitious and growing – you’ll work directly with the founders Perks : You’ll gain serious experience, fast-track your skills and have a front-row seat in a fast-moving creative business HOW TO APPLY Send your CV and a few non-boring lines about why you’d be great for this role.
