Essex Police Constable - Degree in Professional Policing (pre-join degree)
The role of a Police Constable can be demanding, but it's also highly rewarding. Every day presents new challenges, and you'll handle various situations to maintain public order.
Responsibilities include protecting lives and property, as well as crime prevention and detection. Working within a close team, you'll serve and protect the diverse communities and businesses of Essex.
Join Essex Police as a police officer and you'll start with a salary of £32,907 (including a £3,000 South East allowance). Salary increases annually, reaching up to £51,231 within seven years, along with other benefits.
We have set intake sizes for each entry route. If oversubscribed, we may adjust your entry route to ensure your optimal joining date, and we will contact you if this occurs.
All positions require vetting and security clearance. During recruitment, you will receive vetting information forms to complete.
