The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimising transportation logistics and ensuring efficient supply chain management. This position requires strong organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively, and proficiency in IT tools, particularly Excel and Outlook. Duties * Coordinate and plan efficient, safe, and compliant vehicle routes from 48 hours in advance to the day of delivery. * Maintain and update transport records, including daily logs, movements, and reports. * Optimise vehicle scheduling for maximum efficiency and load capacity. * Ensure compliance with the Working Time Directive and all relevant transport legislation. * Arrange additional loads with sub-contractors and negotiate rates. * Book wide load movements via ESDAL * Provide support for inbound calls from drivers, sales, and yard teams. Experience * Proven experience in logistics or transport planning is highly desirable. * Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively. * Proficiency in IT applications, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook, is essential. * Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail. * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively across all levels of the organisation. * Experience in supply chain management would be an advantage.
